Based in Melbourne or Sydney, you’ll play a key role in optimising and improving critical enterprise platforms, with a focus on system performance, data integrity, integrations and reporting. Knowledge of Elite 3E and/or iManage will be highly regarded, but the primary focus is on strong technical capability across DBA, SQL and enterprise application support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the technical administration, configuration, database performance, data integrity and day-to-day operation of enterprise business applications, including Practice Management and Document Management platforms.
- Act as the primary point of contact for system-related incidents, service requests and escalations.
- Provide technical input into system roadmaps, database improvements and platform enhancements aligned with firm strategy and business priorities.
- Translate business requirements into prioritised user stories and delivery backlogs.
- Support the delivery of system and database enhancements, upgrades, patches and integrations, including requirements gathering, testing and releases.
- Ensure the PMS and DMS platforms operate in line with firm governance, security and audit requirements, including access controls, data management and change governance.
- Maintain documentation, configuration records, controls and audit trails, as well as reliable data reporting.
- Partner with the Finance Systems Manager (Business Owner), Knowledge, IT, legal teams and other business stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships relevant to the PMS and DMS platforms, including performance, issue resolution and roadmap alignment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in database administration, SQL and supporting enterprise business applications.
- Knowledge of Practice Management Systems (Elite 3E) and/or Document Management Systems (iManage)
- Experience troubleshooting, maintaining and improving complex business systems, including integrations, data flows and reporting outputs.
- Strong understanding of database structures, data quality, system integrity and governance.
- Experience working across system integrations, application interfaces and data-dependent business processes.
- Working knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI or SSRS.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
