Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to support our Business Technology teams. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific IT projects. This position will ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals, lead and manage project teams, and accountable for the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to a high level of quality. This position is also responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks to the success of the project, communicating project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, including senior management, and managing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and budgets. The ideal candidate should also be able to develop and implement IT strategies (e.g. agile methodology, predictive product management methodology, etc.) that deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Setting project goals and coming up with plans to meet those goals
- Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates, project documentation, and status reports
- Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
- Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
- Conducting risk assessments for projects
- Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress
- Other duties as required to fully meet the needs of the position
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 7+ years’ of experience in project management, preferably IT-related
- PMP or CAMP certified with IT-related project experience, required
- Proven experience in managing a project team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate at all levels effectively to promote collaboration and partnership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work in an environment with shifting priorities and time-sensitive deadlines, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Pursuant with states' laws, the salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000, based on experience and local market
