The Team
The Innovation & AI team sits within the Solutions function and is responsible for identifying, developing and scaling innovative solutions, including AI and legal technology, to enhance client service delivery and internal efficiency.
The team works closely with IT, Office of the General Counsel (OGC), Procurement, Solutions/Helix, Business Services and Practice Groups to assess, pilot, implement and embed new tools and ways of working across the firm.
The team plays a central role in translating the firm’s AI strategy into practical solutions, adoption activity and measurable impact, ensuring that AI tools and workflows are aligned to user needs, governance requirements and business priorities.
The Role
The AI Enablement Manager is responsible for driving the adoption and effective use of AI and legal technology across the firm. The role focuses on embedding AI tools and workflows into day-to-day legal and business processes in a practical, scalable and commercially aligned way.
Working closely with practice groups, business services Innovation colleagues, and technical delivery teams, the role will act as a bridge between users and delivery teams, helping to translate operational pain points into clear use cases, workflow requirements and practical AI-enabled solutions. The role combines stakeholder engagement, training, workflow design and continuous improvement principles to ensure that AI initiatives translate into measurable usage, operational efficiency and delivery impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AI adoption and enablement activity across practice groups and business services, driving the identification and implementation of high-value use cases, including FleetAI, Custom GPTs and other internally developed AI-enabled workflows and products. Partner with practice groups, business teams and Innovation colleagues to understand current processes, identify pain points and embed AI tools and workflows into day-to-day delivery processes.
- Design and deliver practical AI enablement activity, including training programmes, workshops, office hours, launch communications, guidance materials and capability-building initiatives to drive engagement and adoption.
- Develop and maintain practical enablement materials, including workflow examples, reusable guidance, and identify opportunities to standardise and scale successful approaches.
- Gather and analyse user feedback, adoption metrics and workflow insights to evidence measurable usage and business impact, informing reporting, prioritisation, product development, and client-facing materials, case studies and demonstrations.
- Advise practice groups on the operational implications, risks and governance considerations associated with AI-enabled workflows.
- Maintain awareness of emerging legal AI tools and market developments to support informed adoption recommendations.
- Support governance processes by maintaining documentation, tracking approvals and ensuring required records are complete.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in AI enablement, innovation, legal technology, transformation or a related role within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience driving adoption of technology solutions and embedding them into business processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage lawyers and business teams at all levels.
- Experience designing and delivering training, workshops, guidance materials or capability-building initiatives.
- Ability to identify, structure and prioritise use cases and workflow opportunities, including through requirements gathering, process mapping or workflow analysis.
- Comfortable working with data, adoption metrics and feedback to inform decisions and improvements.
- Strong understanding of AI tools, legal technology and emerging trends (or the ability to quickly build this understanding).
Preferred:
- Experience within a law firm or legal services environment.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools, prompt engineering and the design, build and launch of AI-enabled workflows.
- Experience working with product teams, technology teams or innovation functions to support the delivery of technology-enabled solutions.
- Exposure to governance, risk and compliance considerations relating to AI.
- Experience supporting client-facing innovation conversations or business development activity.
